Cohorted Advent Calendar 2020 Unboxing, Is it worth the money?

Cohorted is bringing their very first advent beauty calendar this year if you never heard about this company they are a beauty subscription beauty box that is considered a little bit premium. Price for £75 and box advertised for the value £450. So today I just get my hands on this box, freshly delivered and unboxing one by one, spoiler alert everyone! I am giving an unfiltered opinion about this box so Cohorted I am sorry if you don’t like what I am writing.

At a glance the box is really unique, giving kudos for this style, but when it comes to the content, to be honest, I am not as impressed, considering the ad they promoted. Based on my calculation the box is worth £397, some of them is a sample I can’t find the exact price range so it’s an est based on the full-size. They advertised this box for over £450 is false and misleading. Their ad also showing a photo with drawstring pouch guess they change their mind and just go without. I believe they actually don’t event seal proper deal what to put in their box entirely when they start opening pre-order and see how much people would buy in advance and goes from there what to put into the box, assuming from the content I guess they don’t manage a great deal with some beauty company.

Total of 12 Items, with 8 full sizes and 4 Samples/deluxe, If you are a regular Cohorted subscriber I guess you will be disappointed with this advent box, so many of them are items from the previous sub boxes, seems like they just throw whatever stock they have in their warehouse to fill it.

The early advertisement said box will be dispatched 1st of November, And mine is finally shipped out 9th of November. For the whole MONTH, they have put questionnaire in the Instagram stories if they should reveal their advent box or not, 99% said please, I am getting sick with it, in the end, I am not even bothered, I guess now I know why if they do the full reveal people probably not even excited seeing it’s not as impressive as they try to promote, This is always the problem with Cohorted, and also the reason they are not as successful with other beauty box subscription. Their Customer Service is non-existent, if you have a problem expect really long to get back from them, their social media admin pretty much run by a teenager I think, a lot of questions, frustrating comment they WILL NEVER REPLY, but if its a compliment they will get back to you to say thank you, they need proper training really how to interact with their customer, or the worst they delete your comment, I see mine are deleted when we question when is the advent calendar dispatched and lots of upset comment chime in, that comment is deleted and gone instead they addressed and tell their buyer if they must sort something hence the delay

VERDICT AND HOW TO PAY LESS FOR YOUR BOX

I really don’t like a box with a high amount of samples, especially for skincare, it’s hardly useful to see the result in your skin if it’s only worth of 1-2 weeks of usage, make-up still ok in fact I love them, otherwise, the stack of lipsticks on my drawer will be too much, I like a mini version of makeup so I can change to new shades often. If you use verso I guess this advent calendar is still not so bad.

Since I am paying far less with a combination of their early pre-order and then a combination of cashback it’s not all loss for me, Price: £75 – 20% off ( early pre-order discount ), I paid in total £63 because they add extra £3 for shipping charge, I use my Quidco on top of it so I am getting £17.6, makes this box go down to £45.4!

My verdict for Cohorted Beauty Advent Calendar 2020 – 7/10, based on misleading promotion about value, poor Costumer Service, and the box is off by almost 2 weeks from promised dispatch time.
