I have two foster cats at home and want to give the best for them always

The company claiming it will be customized for your cat, you will be given some basic questions about the health, the goal for your cat, my male foster cat had an issue with its gum so that is my priority also for gaining weight. While the female one is for the shedding, her hair is everywhere and drive me mad cleaning the apartment constantly. Not long after my order dispatched and arrived home safely, after comparing both boxes they are exactly the same no difference of ingredient so I am a bit disappointed with the claim this is custom made to your cat.
Food Test
My male cat Donald has been in the shelter all his life, so his palate is worrisome, he only ate food with additives, he refused to eat grilled salmon, real chicken, expensive food like applaw or Lilly’s kitchen, I am so surprised with this, that also the reason his teeth and gum bad, no matter how hard I try to feed him quality food, if it’s not additives he refused and he rather starves himself, so I already worried this one he will reject, to my surprise NO, he is really really happy eating it, purring constantly enjoying his food. This makes me worried because the answer can only one thing, this cat food is not as they claimed as natural, after further inspection of the food composition, I am honestly disappointed.
As you can see, it’s with additives, sugar, I quickly check the review of the company and I found, this company is owned by Purina, and people said it is 100% the same content as Purina gold, so apparently what they do is they just exchange the label and claim its custom made food for your cat, now that is not ethical at all.
Their Trustpilot reviews a lot of people also noticing and demanding their explanation why it’s exactly the same with Purina gold, the weight, can style, the composition even the taste, but there I no answer at all, if we do the math it’s slightly cheaper than buying the Purina gold can in the store, but I just don’t like the ethos of the company duping people this is a custom product and clearly it’s not.
Verdict and Extra Saving Tips
If you expect this is going to be premium food comparable ie applaw, Lilly’s kitchen, etc with an all-natural ingredient you will be disappointed, this comes with additives. However, if you have been feeding your cat with similar brand such as Whiskas, Purina, Sheba then this is far better since the Purina gold is still their premium range. It’s really up to you, I know feeding your cat a really good product is better for their health in long term, but some of us can’t just afford to pay a hundred per month only for their premium food.

My score based on value, cost and principles is 7/10. They should not advertise this special custom made if everyone is getting the same. I don’t think I will continue the subs after my second box because I was expecting they really do make it special for my cat, but it’s not.

I bought this trial for my cat and after being swooned by one of their customer support team, making me think the food is new, premium, custom made for each cat, I said I would continue with a proper subscription. So I was all set up to properly start a months subscription of their food. 90 cans for £44 a month. Then when I was putting up my Trust Pilot review, I thought I would look at the other reviews afterwards.
Thank God I did and found out that this is actually Purina pretending to be a new, different, better, small business of people who are passionate and dedicated to creating something new and much better, healthier and tailor made for each cat. I actually seen a review of someone who had put in a subscription for two cats. She had different needs for each cat so selected different answers on the website when you are asked about your cats needs. This person received the two packs of cat food for her cat and they were EXACTLY the same.
I done some research and was confirmed that this is Purina, with a different label. I also noticed that it is much cheaper to buy the Purina food online. I was being charged £44 for 90 85mg cans, whereas online you can buy 96 85mg cans for £29.99. It is sooooo unethical and you could almost call it a scam as they portray themselves as a completely different, small, subscription business, who are going out their way to create custom cat food for everyone’s cats. This is a complete lie.
I am actually quite upset after my conversation with the customer service team member who made herself out to be so nice, kind and making their company out to be all for cats and making their lives better, custom food, caring about the cats when it is just another brand with a different label. I found this out yesterday and I am quite angry about this. They are actually ripping people off with their prices. If you google Purina Gold you will instantly find their food on the shopping section at much cheaper prices than what ROC are selling them for. It is disgusting.
I cancelled my subscription last night. My next billing date was supposed to be in 5 days. I seen other reviews where people were charged even after cancelling their subscription. I tried to remove my bank details from my account but they have no option of letting you do that. Nor could I find any way to delete my account in it’s entirety. We will see if they charge me this Friday, they better not. I will be going to my banks fraud team if they do and I’ve made this clear on my edited Trust Pilot review. My cat loved the food, he had never tried Purina Gold food before. So I’m checking up on ingredients etc first before I order the exact same food by Purina for much cheaper online. This has really peeved me off, incase you haven’t noticed 😛

Hi i was reccomend to them from my vets. Sheba etc makes my cat vomit as did purina gold. Yet he been fine on this food. Had no problems he a rescue very thin. He been putting on weight nicely. . Will normally only eat fresh cooked meat. But loves there food. I used to be foster mum for cats and dogs.
Do not feed your cat this brand of food, it is a sham. It’s owned by Nestle (Purina) is exactly the same. They are appearing to look like a startup that tailor their food to order, but that’s BS. You get the same food no matter what you put into their questionnaire. It’s deliberately set up to deceive the consumer…
Worse than this, they add sugar to the food. Cats should not eat sugar. When cats die of old age, it’s usually teeth related (sugar) or kidney problems (sugar). This whole thing will be exposed soon, get your cat off it if you can. Ours are hooked on the sugar now!
Yes, that’s what I pointed out on the blog as well, it’s not ethical claiming you will customize based on your cat while it’s not also the additive they put on their food is worrisome, after my trial also I stopped, despite how much my cat loves this food, i am feeding them natural raw meat from bella duke, little bit extra work because you have to unfreeze them first, but i am not taking risk feeding them bad food which would damage them on long term, there is also other brand i am trying ammo food, this is also very good and i highly suggest you check it out, I will put on blog later the reviews bella duke food, so far cats are happy
